In what area of Hongkong to rent an apartment?

For new expatriates, if you have the budget, you should definitely live in Soho, aka Sheung Wan, or Mid-Levels Central area.  It’s very convenient for many jobs in Central, and close to everything, western food options and more.  It’s easy to make friends and connect, enjoy western food, shop at brand stores and enjoy more imported options at grocery stores.  You will have time to focus on work and life instead of being stuck in the trains.  All in all, it gives an easier transition to Hong Kong.

    For those who lived here, after you live here, you will get an idea of what you like and do not like, and where to live.  Once you’ve established yourself and want a place to relax, you can branch out.  Many expatriates enjoy Discovery Bay and Sai Kung.
